The Best Shabbos Meatball Recipe!

THE BEST MEATBALLS YOU’LL EVER HAVE!

Seriously. You’ll be wiping the plate with your challah.

Also, the leftover sauce tastes amazing with noodles 🙂

 

Sauce-

2 Cans (6 oz) tomato paste 

2 Cans (15 oz) tomato sauce 

2 Cans full (15 oz) /(or cups) of water

2/3 cup brown sugar

10 tbsp lemon juice

Garlic powder to taste

All spice to taste

Mix and let simmer while preparing meatballs

 

Meatballs:

1 lb ground beef

1 egg

1/2 cup rice

1/3 cup breadcrumbs (50/50 mix of regular breadcrumbs & Jason’s Seasoned Breadcrumbs)

1 tbsp ketchup

Garlic powder to taste

Allspice, dash

Mix then roll meatballs and put into sauce

Rolling Simmer for 2/3 hours (the longer they cook, the softer they get!)
